...FACT OF THE DAY: ....... .. Teen girls ages 15-19have high rates of both gonorrhea and chlamydia. Although teenage boys also have high rates of infection, girls may be more susceptible to transmission of these STI's. Some researchers think the immaturity of adolescent girls' vaginal mucosa may increase their susceptibility to STI.
