WHO ARE TAG MEMBERS?

TAG members are teens who like to talk to their peers about health and other life issues. They commit to attend weekly meetings and to serve their community through projects.

They commit two hours per week to volunteer in their community through SCHC (although usually put in many more hours than this), taking part in various projects the group chooses to be involved in.
They attend a peer health educator training each August before the school year begins to learn how to make effective presentations on preventing pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections to their own peers. TAG members have the opportunity to participate in other kinds of training on an ongoing basis.

MISSON: TAG is a volunteer organization dedicated to creating a strong community and a better future for youth in Sonoma County. As student leaders, we seek to create awareness and inform our peers about teen pregnancy prevention, STIs, and HIV infection and prevention, and access to healthcare through education and outreach.

TAG-SUPPORTED PROJECTS:

  Community Service
Outreach to promote SCHC's teen clinic and resources
Outreach to promote Elsie Allen Health Center
Doing presentations for middle and high schools around Sonoma County
Attending statewide trainings about teen issues, including adocating for mental health services

If you're looking to join TAG, just come by! No need to sign up beforehand. WE ACCEPT EVERYBODY (who is cool).

TAG meets every Saturday morning at 10 am - 12 noon at 751 Lombardi Ct, Santa Rosa at the Annex Conference room. Just ask our Teen Clinic Staffs and they'll point you to the right direction.
